Review of Second Spring by Sandhya Jane

Blurb

This is Avantika's heartfelt journey through love and life...
As a smart, successful, thirty-eight-year-old single mother, Avantika seemingly has it all: a great career as a seasoned banking professional, respect and admiration from her peers as an able leader , fulfillment as a mother, and so many other things. What is it , that drives her towards Ronan , a man six years junior? He is  who ideally would not occupy much room in Avantika's otherwise sorted mind space. She has told herself she has no time for love. Then why does she make the choices she makes? Is it the emotional vacuum? A need to relive life? A feeling that life as she has truly lived and felt is passing by her by?
However, she struggles with her feelings, Avantika and Rohan part ways....only to meet again. To what end? Why does Rohan want her back...and why now? So many questions! Very few answers!
Can love give second chances?

Review

This is a heart melting story deals with Avantika and Rohan. The story is narrated in two parts, part one deals with love story between Avantika and Rohan and best part is step by step their love is proceeding with hardships. After playing hide and seek with their feelings they finally had a confession. Life is full of uncertainty, so with the love birds.
Second part is about new start in Avantika's life. It seems you are reading a fresh part and second part is full of suspense which grabs readers attention more.
I loved the end which I never thought will happen and it was wonderful. I enjoyed reading this book.
The style of writing was simple yet full of emotions  and book comprises of Avantika's and Rohan's viewpoint  which is quite different but interesting.

Positives

I really like the style of narrating full of emotions. All the characters are strongly built and I like Avantika's character through all hardships she managed everything well in her career being a single parent. I also like its ending which gives us a message to be in real present.

Negatives

There's no need for extra explanation in the story. In the second part  at the starting, Rahul's character was ignored  and when I read about him  I was  bit bored.

Favourite quote

Life is beautiful. Life is great.
It has no place for confusion, no time for regrets ,and no chance for living in the past....just the present and today seems to be a "real present".
